This installation invited guests to navigate the waves of 4 FM radio transmitters placed around the space, transmitting to the same frequency using radio headphones. Cal collected interviews with artists related to the space/show, recordings of the nearby Hudson River Waterfront, and used a transducer and coil to vibrate and record metallic pieces found in this unique dilapidated gallery space. Cal sewed together upcycled towel, photographs, and zippers over foam to hold the transmitters placed around the space. As illustrated in the score, proximity to a radio transmitter wasn't the biggest factor in what could be heard around the space. Sounds were found at idiosyncratic intervals and the bodies of gallery goers functioned as antennas and signal blockers.
